Standard additional work prices and notes applicable to all contracts.

Occasionally we find during the course of a foam installation that other works ideally need to be done which are additional to the job originally quoted for. If additional works are required to that quoted we always seek your permission before commencement. The additional work will be explained to you and the reason why and you will be invited to inspect and see for yourself. You maintain control of your budget as you do not have to have any additional work done we suggest but we would then reserve the right not to spray the roof or to restrict the guarantee. If we decide not to spray a roof due to technical reasons we will explain the reasons why and you will not be charged. Please be assured that no additional work to that quoted will ever be done without your prior consent and agreement to the cost. There will be no surprises on the final invoice.

All rates below are highly competitive; we are not actually looking to do any of this additional work and issue prices to reassure you that this is the case. The following menu prices are provided to help you budget.

Renew lead valley @ £135.00 per metre
All above items include under soakers and aprons as per the elevation requirement, all in new code 4 lead and includes new pointing to brickwork where lead is let in.
Rebedding bonnet or hip or ridge tile with sand and cement lime mortar £15.00 per bedded tile (patch repointing is free of charge)
Old (or missing) hip irons renewed £50.00 per hip iron
Laying new roof felt £50.00 per square metre (small areas only).
All above items will additionally require a tower scaffold hire at £130.00.
Other items not listed above (e.g. rotting timbers) by agreement

To minimise customer costs we leave rubbish (e.g. old stripped out roofing felt, old tiles, bricks etc.) bagged up or neatly stacked for customer disposal since we would have to levy a commercial waste disposal charge otherwise. Waste disposal is free to domestic householders at the local council maintained waste disposal centre but not to commercial companies. We will remove rubbish if required for £150.00.

Please note that certain buildings cannot have work done from scaffold towers and that a full scaffold may have to be erected to provide good work access as well as to meet current legislation on health and safety requirements. We will obtain local quotations if this is the case on your behalf and present the quotes to you.

We will schedule your work at a date convenient to you. Rain or technical difficulties may delay the start and/or finish of your job but we will advise you if this is the case. Our operatives normally arrive between 8.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. the first day. They will telephone you if they are excessively delayed.

Payment in full for all quoted and any additional works agreed during the contract is expected once all work is completed. Please make cheques payable to “Roofing Insulation Services” (or pay cash) when all work is finished and the job foreman will collect for your convenience.

A foam guarantee certificate which provides details of the foam type and fire rating is completed and signed after payment has been made. The guarantee is transferable and is valid for 25 years from the install date.

We reserve the right to refuse any customer instruction or contract that compromises health and safety, technical considerations, our integrity or our reputation for honesty and good workmanship.
